Mrs. Grace "Evelyn" Lanier Singletary, age 91 of Morrow, GA went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2015. She was born in Atlanta, GA on January 13, 1924. She is the daughter of Robert and Grace Lanier. She was a wonderful Mother and friend. Her favorite pastime was crocheting and for the last several years she had been making shawls for shut in's with friends and had numerous other hobbies. She was also a member of the Clayton County Homemakers Club for many years and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She worked for Child Evangelism Fellowship and was on the Board of Directors for many years in East Point, GA. She also participated in their children's ministry by holding Good News Clubs for the neighborhood children in the summertime at her home. She was an active member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Morrow, GA for 35 years, and was always ready to help her church family whenever needed. She was loved very much by her family and all who knew her and she will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Marvin Singletary; son: Skip Singletary; grandson: Robby Singletary; brother: Thomas Lanier; and son-in-law: Bill DeBerry. She is survived by 4 daughters: Ann Gordon (Bob), Patty Auvdel (Michael), Carol Fitzgerald (Randy), Karen DeBerry; sister: Bobbie Lamb; grandchildren: Michael, Derek, Bobby, Kelly, April, Sarah, Stacey, and Erin; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM, Saturday December 12, 2015 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Aman will officiate and burial will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM, Friday December 11, 2015 at the funeral home.
