Grady Leroy Pope, age 84, of Newnan, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away on August19, 2026.
He was born on August 22, 1941 in Newnan, GA to the late Bradley and Florence Melear Pope.
Mr. Pope retired from the Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services as a Lieutenant with 27 years of service. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Annie Ruth Grantham Pope and his sister: Patricia White. He is survived by his children: Tammy Martinez of Newnan, Grant (Kasey) Pope of Monroe, grandchildren: Wyatt Martinez, Logan Martinez, Mason Martinez, Tyson Martinez, Tristan Gudaitis, Rylee Pope, Hutson Pope, nephew: Tim (Dee) White, great niece: Kimberly (Brad) Hatcher, great nephew: Bradley (Brittany) White and grand niece: Camden Hatcher. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026 in the Chapel of Ford Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon till 2:00PM prior to the service. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park.
