Gregory Lee Foster, a beloved member of our community, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Greg was born in East Point, Georgia, and spent most of his childhood in Jonesboro, Georgia, before making his home in Eatonton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Gene" Foster. He is survived by his loving mother, Bessie Foster of Eatonton, Georgia; his brother Gary Keith Foster and sister-in-law Julie Foster of McDonough, Georgia; his niece Lindsay Mott of Atlanta and nephew Tyler Foster of Decatur, Georgia. Greg also leaves behind many friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Greg dedicated 40 years of his life to building, and for the last 15 years, he found joy in working as a builder on Lake Oconee. His craftsmanship and dedication to his work were admired by many. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services to honor Greg's life will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hampton, Georgia, in the family plot.
