Dr. Gwendolyn Pritchett Sheesley, age 87, of East Point, passed away on February 25, 2018. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and attended Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Kenneth O. Sheesley. Dr. Sheesley is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jeffrey and Kathy Sheesley of East Point; grandchildren, Steven Sheesley and Shannon (Spencer) Balthaser and one great grandchild, Luke Balthaser. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Rev. Irvin Pearre, Rev. Hinton Harris and Rev. Darwin Caldwell will officiate. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
