Mrs. Hazel W. Newcomb, age 90 of Rex passed away August 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband: Geames Henry Newcomb and son: Robert Newcomb. Surviving are her daughters: Gloria Edwards and husband Mike of Rex, Denise Lowery and husband George of Milton, FL., sisters: Frances Baker of Decatur and Alberta Smith of Alpharetta, brother: Eugene Wilson of Decatur, grandchildren: Joe Edwards, Kristi Hendley and husband Vance, Sherry Lyons and husband John, Tammy Ferber, Brandy Clifton and husband Rodney, Angela Perry and husband Danny, Heather Lowery; great-grandchildren: Jarred, Megan, Connor, Adriana, Talia, Scarlett, Antonia, Aleah, A.J., Henry, Salina, Steven, Conner and Zoey. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015, 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Carroll officiating. Entombment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
