Mrs. Helen Skelton Jeffreys age 82 of Jonesboro passed away October 3, 2017. Mrs. Jeffreys was a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. She was a retired school bus driver for Clayton County for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Jeannette Elizabeth Fox; parents: E.N. Skelton & Mary Elizabeth Estelle Skelton; brothers: Howard Skelton and Willis Skelton; sister: Allie Skelton Hunt. She is survived by her husband: Leonard "Buddy" Jeffreys; children: James Glen Jeffreys (Linda) of Meansville, Howard Daniel Jeffreys (Barbara) of Zebulon, Leonard Mark Jeffreys (Beth) of Hampton; son in law: Harry Fox of Griffin; sisters: Mamie Skelton Jeffreys of Morrow, Sarah Skelton Moore of Hiawassee, and Elon Skelton Dodgen (Tommy) of Hampton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 6th, 2017 at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle with Dr. Joe Arthur and Rev. Tom Allen officiating. Burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM, Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home and from 10-11 AM, Friday, October 6th, 2017 at the church.
