Mrs. Helen Thompson, age 80, of Jonesboro passed away October 10, 2014. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Louis Thompson, daughter, Loretta Fraley of Lawrenceville, sons, Keith Thompson and wife Elaine of McDonough, Timothy Thompson and wife Dawn of Stockbridge, and Mark Thompson and wife Peggy of Locust Grove, brother, Hugh Swanson and wife Vivian of Fayetteville, sisters, Mildred Coggins of Fayetteville and Vera Eargle and husband Gene of Griffin, grandchildren, Benjamin West, Lanie Beth Sinclair, Leslie Wilkins, Isaac Fraley, Taylor Thompson, Payton Laffoday and Abigail Thompson, great-grandchildren, Rowan Sinclair and Darby Sinclair. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014, 2 p.m. at the Chapel of FirstBaptist Church Jonesboro with Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. Remains will be placed in state at 1 p.m. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, October 13, 2014, 6-8 pm. at the funeral home.
