Idell Compton, age 94, of Stockbridge, passed away, October 3, 2013. She attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Compton. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Hazel and Thurman Chaffin of Stockbridge; sister, Mary Alice Jones of AL; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held, at 2 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2013 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Martin Jones will officiate. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 12:30-2 PM at the funeral home.
