Mrs. Idella L. Skaggs, age 81 of Jonesboro passed away April 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband; Russell Hobert Skaggs, Jr., son; Russell Hobert Skaggs, III, parents; Forrest and Mamie Lucas, sister; Sharon Gazaraglu and adopted father; Lee Alferton Hervey, Jr. Surviving are her children; Beverly Sue Read and husband John H. Read, Jr. of Jonesboro, Vicky Louise Mullins of Jonesboro, Mark Anthony Skaggs and Patti of Social Circle and Charles David Skaggs and wife Kymberly of Jefferson, sisters; Leeanna Farrice Campbell of Franklin, GA. and Louella Marlene Long of Kenova, W. VA., grandchildren; Johnny (Lisa), James (Lori), Christina (Bobby), Serena, Sher, Shane, Jennifer, Christopher, Justin, Blaine and Bayleigh, and 18 great-grandchildren; Anthony, Mallory, William, Carter, Carson, Catie, Cassidy, Courtney, Wasswa, Nakato, Cameron, Abigayle, Brendon, Alyssa, Josie, Adriana, Ava and Logan, and an extra great-grandchild; Emily, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Jonesboro Worship Center with Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. She will be placed in state at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends Monday, April 20, 2015, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
