Mrs. Irene Jackson Marsh was born on July 24, 1918, in Sandersville, Mississippi. On Sunday, December 24, 2017, in the comfort of her home, God chose to take her hand and lead her home. She lived with her daughter in Jonesboro, Georgia. Irene was a faithful worker and servant to her family, friends and at St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a caring mother of five children and a grandmother of seven, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The many memories will remain in her children, McAfee (Ruby) Marsh, Marvis Bedford, James (Lois) Marsh, Cheryl Witcher and Ernest Marsh; her grandchildren, Yolanda Mashburn, Marcellus Marsh, Kateri Mitchell, Tiffany Zimmerman, Matthew Marsh Kelly Marsh and Nicole (Sean) Dozier. A graveside service will be held at 2PM CST on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Meridian Mississippi. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Her sweet spirit will be remembered always by her family and friends.
