J. Verner Burton age 70 of Stockbridge passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013. A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2013 at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton. Mr. Burton graduated from North Gwinnett High School in 1960, Reinhardt University and attended the University of GA before serving in the US Army during Vietnam. He was the owner of Ace Major Appliance Repair in Stockbridge. He was a member of First Baptist Jonesboro, Masonic Lodge #691 F&AM in Stockbridge, and the Yaarab Shrine. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Pauline (Polly) Carter Burton of Stockbridge, Children: LaNita and Gary Ricks of Dacula, Todd and Eve Burton of Dacula, Lynnette and Micah Ross of Braselton, Step-Children: Janet and Wes Agnew of Jonesboro, Jerry and Agnes Carter of Jonesboro, Brother: Terry and Sue Ann Burton of Lawrenceville, Sister: Brenda and John Hall of Jonesboro, 13 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, and 1 nephew.
