Mr. Jack Edward Hughes, age 86, of Griffin, passed away, March 31, 2013. He is survived by his wife; Barbara, children; Timothy Wayne (Dianne) York of Jackson, Michael Anthony York of Guyton, brothers; Henry (Betty) Hughes of Douglasville, Jimmy (Pat) Hughes of Acworth, sister; Evelyn Gillis of Decatur, grandchildren; Melissa York, Stevie Lee York, Scott (Angie) Biggs, Duane (Deanna) Biggs, great grandchildren; Kai Tungate, Krista Marie Biggs, Arron Biggs, Hayden Biggs, Hannah Woodruff, Caleb Woodruff, Kayla Quinn, and a great great grandchild; Dreyden Quinn. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 1 PM at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Dr. Joe Arthur, Dr. David Maddox and Dr. Nolan Jackson will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
