Jack Hager Miller, Sr., age 93, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was born on May 3, 1931, in Eureka, Kansas, to the late Opal and Jack Miller. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita Miller.
A proud veteran, Jack honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his service, he dedicated over four decades to a career with Pittsburgh Paints, where he worked as a manager for 42 years until his retirement. Jack was also a longtime and faithful member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro.
He is survived by his son, Jack "Jay" Miller Jr. (Wendy), his brother, John Ross Darnall (Gail), his grandchildren, Kelly Miller, Kasey Miller, and Keira Cosby (Travis), and his great-granddaughter, Kensley Nichols. Jack also leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, April 16, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236.
A celebration of Jack's life will be held on Thursday, April 17, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Allen Davis. A burial service will take place following the service at Sherwood Memorial Park, where Jack will be laid to rest.
