Mr. James Brown age 82 of Jonesboro passed away April 4, 2018. Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife: Vera Brown; children: Debbie Louise Lobo of Atlanta, and Bruce and Sue Brown of McDonough; brother: Gary Brown (Judy) of Whitesburg; 3 grandchildren: K.B. Brown (Andrea Mitchell), Brad Brown (Melissa), Shaunn Lobo (Vicky); 2 great grandchildren: Hayden Brown and Gavin Lobo.  A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, April 29th, 2018 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Barry Fuller officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM before the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.Alz.org in memory of James Brown.
