Mr. James Lawton "Cookie" Wooden, age 70, of Jonesboro, passed away, August 25, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife; Linda Joyce Wooden, parents; Durrell and Emma Wooden, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his son and daughter in law; James "Len" and Jeanette Wooden of Zachary, LA, sisters; Kadel Wooden (Wilt Brown) of Eatonton, Adel (Buddy) Hollomon, Judy (Jerry) Clance, Karen Howard, Diane (David) Royal all of Macon, grandchildren; Erica E. Wooden and Derek J. Wooden. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11 AM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
