Mr. James E. Gilbert age 86 of Jonesboro passed away September 12, 2021. Mr. Gilbert was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and served in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife: Gertie Lee Gilbert and son-in-law: Jeff Hovda. He is survived by his daughters: Vicky Batten (Sam) of Stockbridge and Scarlett Hovda of Acworth; sister: Josephine Alden (Harold) of Fayetteville; grandchildren: Brittany Batten, Hailey Hovda, and Kaitlyn Hovda; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
