Mr. James D. Miller, age 86, of Jonesboro passed away July 5th, 2022. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the US Navy and he retired from The Little Debbie Corporation with 28 years of service.  James loved his family in a big way. His legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a poet, a writer, and a man of many stories. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years: Lona Miller; children: Katrina (Chuck) Cox of Benton, AR, Barbara Miller of McDonough, James J. (Starla) Miller of Acworth, GA, and Timothy (Stacey) Miller of Locust Grove, GA; sister: Mickye Sheidler of Panama City, FL; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 11, 2022 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA. The family will receive friends from 11 AM-12:30 PM before the service at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home.
