Mr. James Sidney Turpin, age 56, of Albany formerly of Forest Park, passed away on May 31, 2018. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his father: Selma Clarence Turpin, brother: Jeffrey Michael Turpin and step-father: Tom Sammons. He is survived by his wife, Michele; children, Christen Leigh (Ronnie) Franklin of Arlington, Samantha Rae Turpin of Alabama, Jamie Lynn Dunaway of Arlington, Collin Daniel Turpin of Albany, Courtney (Carlton) Thomas of Savannah and Jack Farrow of Unadilla; mother, Diane Sammons of McDonough; grandchildren, Rylan Edwards, Aslynn Farrow, Libbie Reynolds, Blainey Reynolds and Logan Reynolds. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, June 17, 2017 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Curtis Turner will officiate. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
