JANET SHAW ARTHUR, 89, was born AUGUST 26, 1934, and went to her heavenly home on February 10, 2024.

Janet was a faithful pastor's wife for over 50 years. She was a prayer warrior, a Godly Christian lady, and The Best mother anyone could have. She loved The Lord, His Church, His people and only Heaven will reveal the lives that have been influenced by the life she lived and the prayers that she has prayed. From the souls she won to Christ, to list of young preachers she prayed for, she made a profound impact for the cause of Christ. She was preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband of 57 years, Preacher, JB Arthur; her parents JW and Emma Shaw; her sister Helen Gosnell; her son-in-Law Mike Patrum ;and 3 siblings that died at childbirth.

Janet is survived by her 3 daughters, Joy Little (Mike) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, June Quoma (Kenny) of Reidsville, NC, and Janice Patrum of Elon, NC; her son Joe Arthur (Julie) of Jonesboro, GA; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle, 1974 Walt Stephens Road, Jonesboro, GA 30236 on February 13, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service starting at 7:00 PM. Ford-Steward Funeral Home will be serving the family in Jonesboro, GA. Later in the week, funeral services will be held at New Heights Baptist Church, 2796 NC 14, Reidsville, NC 27320 on February 15, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service starting at 7:00 PM. The burial will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 16, 2024, at Highland Burial Park, 3049 N. Main St. in Danville, VA. Wilkerson Funeral Home will be serving the family in Reidsville, NC.
