Janet R Scarbrough age 91, passed away on July 19, 2026. Janet was born in Griffin, GA
to the late: Thomas Rivers and Lucille Rivers. Janet married Jack Scarbrough of Jonesboro, Georgia on July 2, 1953 in Jonesboro, Georgia. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Jack Scarbrough. Janet is survived by David Scarbrough - son, Jeff Scarbrough - son, Lynn Scarbrough - daughter-in-law, Tabitha Anderson - granddaughter, Amanda Crockett - granddaughter, Tiffany Blackwood - granddaughter, Kendal Mercer - granddaughter. She also has 13 great-grand children which she was very proud of.
Mrs. Scarbrough retired as a Legal Secretary from the Clayton County Superior Court after serving several judges. A Memorial Service for Janet Scarbrough will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Ford Stewart Funeral Home with Reverend Ellynda Lipsey officiating. The inurnment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery following the Service. Notable interests, activities, hobbies, or passions: Janet enjoyed having flower gardens, being with family and traveling with family and friends all over.
