Jeanette Gail Murphy, age 74, of McDonough, passed away on June 2, 2026. She was born in Durham, NC, on February 12, 1952, to the late David E. and Gloria Holmes. She was also preceded in death by her husband; John. She dedicated her life to helping others. She and her husband had their own children but adopted numerous other children, most with special needs.
She is survived by her children; Shawn Murphy, Shannon Murphy, Christian Murphy, Josh (Michelle) Murphy, Bethany (Chester) Murphy, Josiah Murphy, Jeremy Murphy, Jimmy Murphy, Codie Murphy, Callie Murphy, Nathan Murphy, Noah Murphy, Kristina Murphy, Nick Murphy, Angel Murphy, Mia Murphy, Lindsey Murphy, Julia Murphy, Emily Murphy, grandchildren; Liam Murphy, Aiden Murphy, three sisters, two brothers and extended family members. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 3:00 PM till 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
