Mr. Jerrold Foster Burford age 77 of Jonesboro passed away May 19, 2023. Mr. Burford was retired from Georgia Power with 41 years of service. He and his wife have been married since January 1, 1968. He was preceded in death by his parents: Zelmer Burford and Gladis Loraine Foster Burford and his siblings: Emerson Burford, Billy Donald Burford and Helen Lurlene Smith.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Faye Burford; children: Johnny (Melinda) Warren of Jonesboro and Raymond (Connie) Moody of McDonough; grandchildren: Amber (Franklin Daniels) Bankston, Chris Warren, Ashley (Brian) Eidson and Josh Moody; great grandchildren: Athyn, Ashlee, Dylan, Riley, Ryan, Reggan, and Wyatt and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
