Mr. Jerry Lee Wasson, age 78, of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away September 23, 2022. Mr. Wasson was a 1962 graduate of Riverdale High School, St. Joe, Indiana, and graduated from Lincoln Christian College, Lincoln, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education in 1969. Always an active member in his local church, he last held membership at First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, Georgia. He was employed by Defiance Precision Products, Defiance, Ohio, for more than thirty years. The son of Wallace Russell and Garnet (Cook) Wasson, he married Deborah Higgins on May 15, 1971, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Rebecca Ryan of Stockbridge, Georgia, and Jessica (Gustavo) Soussumi of Morrow, Georgia; five brothers, James (Donna) Wasson of Hicksville, Ohio, Gary (Linda) Wasson of Edgerton, Ohio, Gene Wasson, Robert Wasson, and Donald Wasson; two sisters, Kathryn Recore, and Juneva Wasson; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his son-in-law, Jonathan Eric Ryan. A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date as our hearts simply rest in the Resurrection promise.
