Mr. Jim Jones, age 84 of Hapeville passed away December 17, 2017. Mr. Jones was a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Carol Braggy. Surviving are his wife: Mary Owens Jones, children: Cheryl Piner of Hapeville, Connie DeJesus and husband Andres of Hapeville, Jerry VanPelt and wife Nancy of Stockbridge, Jeff Mervine of Ashburn, GA., Stacy Owens-Puckett and husband Christopher of McDonough, Tracy Owens of Forest Park and Tim Owens and wife Lisa of Dawsonville, grandchildren: Wayne (Amanda) Piner, Stephen Piner, Christopher (Lauren) Piner, Isabella Moreno-DeJesus, William "Barrett" Hollowell, Aaron Owens, Jerry VanPelt, Jr. and Phillip (Brandy) VanPelt, great-grandchildren: Peyton Piner, Whitley Piner, Colby VanPelt, Maverick VanPelt and Kasey VanPelt. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Arthur officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
