Mrs. JoAnn "Mama" Herrington, age 85 of Jackson passed away October 12, 2021. Mrs. Herrington was a member of Calvary Congregational Holiness Church in Fayetteville. As the pastors wife "First Lady" of the church she was always loving and caring. For over 50 years she provided in home childcare. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years: Rev. Orr Oliver Herrington; children: Randy Herrington, Sherry Hart, and Freddie Huckaba; sister: Eloise Hardigree. She is survived by her children: Tommy Herrington of Cumming, Jonathan Bruce Herrington (Cheryl) of Jackson, Ricky Lynn Herrington of Forest Park, Dawn Elaine Proux (Adam) of Dallas, GA; sister: Betty Phillips (Lloyd) of Pendergrass; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 15, 2021 at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Roy Huggins and Dr. Joe Arthur officiating. Burial will be held at 2 PM at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
