Mrs. JoAnn New, age 72, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Patterson and Daisy Patterson, and brothers, Bill Patterson and Walter Patterson. Mrs. New is survived by her husband; John Paul New, children; John Thomas New, Tracy New Bowman and Didi JoAnn Parker, sisters; Dorothy Norman, Helen Crews, Shirley Bramlett and Fay Gay, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Bishop Chuck House will officiate. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park.
