Mr. John Douglas McClanahan, age 90, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 7, 2015. He retired from Eastern Air Lines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann McClanahan. He is survived by his children, Shirley Ann Meeker of Fayetteville, Douglas P. (Alice) McClanahan of Fayetteville, Carolyn E. Abercrombie of Jonesboro, John Michael (Debbie) McClanahan of Fayetteville, Mark S. (Connie) McClanahan of Sharpsburg; sister, Janie Ruggles of KY and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
