Mr. John Thomas Mitchell, age 79 of Jonesboro passed away January 12, 2020. Mr. Mitchell was involved in Real Estate and served on the Board of Directors at Heritage Bank.He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Edward and Annie  Louise Mitchell, and brothers: Pat Mitchell and Ronnie Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife: Kim Mitchell, children: Todd (Sandy) Mitchell of McDonough, Christina (Eric) Wisherd of Jonesboro, Garrick (Kelly) Barnes of Panama City, FL., and Lindsey (Jesse) Mathes of Gulf Breeze, FL, brothers: Gerald Mitchell of Rock Hill, SC and Eddie (Susie) Mitchell of Rock Hill, SC, sister: Brenda (Rufus) Roof of Rock Hill, SC, grandchildren: Parker Wisherd, Alyssa Mitchell, Madison Barnes, Isabel Mathes, Gabriella Mathes and Mia Mathes, Hope Lovejoy and Matthew Trebuchon, great-grandchildren: Landon Carrithers and Isabella Shepard, and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Paulette Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends 2 p.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
