Mr. John Alexander Southerland, III, age 73 of Hampton passed away January 17, 2019. He was a member of Trinity Family Worship and worked at The Department of Homeland Security as Logistics Chief.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Southerland.  Mr. Southerland is survived by his wife: Carla Southerland, children: Shawn Southerland and wife Joanne of Griffin, Stacy Hall and husband David and Jeremy Hardin and wife Delanna of KY., sister-in-law: Laura Southerland of Douglasville, sisters: Judy Morris and Barbara Dilbeck both of TN., grandchildren: Jacob, Logan, Sidney, Chaz, Whitney, Faith, Ayva, Annaliese and Adelynn. Funeral services will be held a 3 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Chapel of Ford- Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Milehan officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service.
