Mrs. Joyce Elaine Gasaway, age 71, of Stockbridge, passed away September 23, 2023. She is preceded in death by her children; Dusty Renee Walraven, Christopher Ray Gasaway, parents; Alvin Thomas Gilley, Helen Pauline Smith Gilley, siblings; Johnny Brock, Frank Brock, Carol Carter, Leslie Gilley, Brenda Gulledge and Jerry Gilley. She is survived by her son; Christopher Stephen Lee Gasaway (Destiny Vining) of Stockbridge, sisters; Clara Wilson (Tommy) of Colbert, Ga and Betty Smith (Steve) of McDonough, grandchildren; Rebekah Grace Gasaway Scott, great-grandchild, Elijah Ray Gasaway, brother-in-law; Ernie Gulledge of Adairsville, Ga, sister-in-law; Debbie Gilley of Griffin, Ga, Connie Brock, niece; Deborah and her husband Kerry and their children Brett, Christian and Callison and several extended family members and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Windi Carter, Sarah Carter and Destiny Vining for the special care they gave to Joyce. The family would also like to give special thanks to Jon and Andrea Scott for giving Rebekah her forever home and her brother and sisters Andrew, Katelyn and Lily. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, September 29, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church 1724 GA-155 N McDonough, GA 30252 with Pastor Rick Statham officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
