Mrs. Joyce Sides Montgomery, age 78 of Jonesboro passed away December 29, 2014. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James W. Montgomery, Sr., children; James W. Montgomery, Jr., of FL., David L. Montgomery of N.C., Joyce L. Wallace of Morrow, Debara L. Montgomery of Jonesboro and Michael R. Montgomery of Jonesboro, brother; David P. (Daphne) Sides, III of S.C., grandchildren; Erin L. Montgomery, Peter J. Montgomery, Kevin M. Medert, Monica R. Chason, Jillian P. Montgomery and Brian W. Wallace, and one great-grandchild: Jack M. Chason. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014, 2 p.m. at the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro with remains placed in state at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2014 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, P.O. Box 773, Jonesboro, GA 30237 in memory of Mrs. Joyce Sides Montgomery.
