Mrs. Katherine Ophelia Brooks, age 89, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away, December 6, 2013. She is survived by her children; Warren (Peggy) Brooks of McKinney, TX, Bonnie (Don) Barron of Kennesaw, Donna (Brand) Hunt of Gulf Breeze, FL, sisters; June (John) Fogarty of Griffin, Karrie (Herschel) Dickens of Hampton, Susan Prater of Jonesboro, Mildred Eddy of NJ, grandchildren; Geoff Brooks, Elizabeth Lain, Christopher Hunt, Natalie Hunt, Renee Hunt, great grandchildren; Luke Lain, Caroline Hunt. Funeral services will be held, Monday, December 9, 2013 at 2 PM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from noon till service time.
