Mrs. Kathleen "Kathy" Edwards, age 66 of Jonesboro passed away October 19, 2021. Mrs. Edwards was a founding member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church and was a Minister of Hospitality and the Funeral Ministry and was a member of the Ladies of The Knights of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank H. Hancock, Sr. and Emma Louise Hancock. She is survived by her husband: Greg Edwards, children: Sam (Brandilyn) Edwards of Columbus, GA., Spencer (Leah) Edwards of Whispering Pines, N.C., Mary Kate (Kyle) Morris of Dallas, GA and Silas (Melissa) Edwards of Griffin, brothers: Frank H. (Bobbie) Hancock, Jr. of Jackson and Michael G. (Julie) Hancock of Jonesboro, grandchildren: Laney Edwards, Eli Edwards, Gabriel Edwards, Owen Edwards, Rebecca Edwards, Brice Morris and Emma Morris. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church the day of the service.  A Rosary Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church with Father John Koziol, OFM Conv officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Attn: St. Vincent DePaul OR St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 591 Flint River Rd.
