Katie Raines Buchanan age 97, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was a member of Ash Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jonas P. Raines & Florence Queen Raines; husband: Troy Lee Buchanan; brothers: Roy Raines and Harold Raines; sisters: Lucille Raines Brooks and Ann Raines Chitty. She is survived by children: Troyce Buchanan Lancaster (Kerry) of Jonesboro, and Terry L. Buchanan (Deeann) of McDonough, GA; grandchildren: Troy Buchanan, Tyler Buchanan, Elizabeth Buchanan Stewart, and Addison Buchanan; 4 great grandchildren; and nephews: Ronald Brooks and Kenneth Brooks. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday October 14, 2015 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Glass will officiate and burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta.
