Kenneth Deryl Sweat passed peacefully into Heaven October 25th, 2024. Ken loved life. He was a hard-core Nascar fan, lifelong mechanic, Ford Motor Company body shop assembler, always had a beer in hand, was a dog lover, and held many leadership positions in Boy Scouts of America for over 14 years, dedicating himself to guiding boys to become young men with life skills and experiences beyond imagination. From basic camping skills to high adventures such as whitewater rafting, rappelling, horseback riding, the limits were endless. Ken loved his family as much as life, taking on four kids in addition to his two daughters, one he had with his wife and blending into one big family. The love he had for his wife Mari 'Missi' was immeasurable. Theirs was a soulmate bonding that stood the test of time and every obstacle that life tossed at them. They shared a longtime interest of concerts, movies, travel, scouting and dinner dates. Ken will be truly loved and missed by all who knew him. Mr. Sweat is survived by his Wife Mari Sweat, Daughter Leslie Karla Smith (Patrick) of Moreland Ga. Daughter Elizabeth Boyd (Mark Smith) of Atlanta. Daughter Sarah Ledford of Cumming. Daughter Taylor Boyd of Jonesboro. Son David "Bubba" Boyd (Sarah) of Covington. Daughter Shelby Bentley of Griffin. Sister Kelly Lane (Mike) of Madison. Aunt Idyll Parker of Jonesboro. Grand Children Monika Fletcher (Austin), Eli Huff, Connor Huff, Charlotte Smith, Ella Boyd, Micah Darden, Adeline Ledford, Evan Smith, Arizona Boyd, James Bentley. Great Grand Children Greysen Fletcher, Evie Fletcher, Oaklynn Huff. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Daisy.
