Mr. Kenneth Wayne Wincey, age 83, of McDonough, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Sacred Journey Hospice. A native of Moultrie, GA., Mr. Wincey moved to Atlanta after graduating from Colquitt County High School. Mr. Wincey retired from General Motors - Lakewood after 30 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars, barbering, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro for 42 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joann Wincey of McDonough, daughters, Donna Thompson and husband Tim of Boone, N.C. and Melissa Howell and husband Al of McDonough, granddaughter, Anna Joy Howell of McDonough, step-granddaughter, Kristin Thompson of Hampton, and great-granddaughters, Madison and Adelynn Thompson of Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Rev. Irvin Pearre and Rev. Hinton Harris officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens in Moultrie, GA. The family will receive friends 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro.
