Krishna Srivastava of Athens, GA passed peacefully from this world with her family at her side on 10/29/17. She was the daughter of the late Shambhu Dayal Verma and Sukh Devi Verma and the loving devoted wife of the late Dr. P.N. Srivastava. Our Amma was the glue of our family. She raised 4 kids in a new land and culture with love and patience. She always put family first but family was broadly defined, opening her home to not only relatives but also the Athens community at large. Her love permeated family gatherings and was a warm embrace for the unending stream of visitors over the years. She had a love of music and art which revealed her gentle nature. She had a special bond with her dear sister-in-law, Lucille Srivastava, who was her companion and friend through joyous times and hardships. Krishna is survived by her 4 children: daughter Sunita of Pittsburgh (Raj, children Rishi, Aparna, and Mohit), daughter Sujata of Atlanta (Praveen, daughter Anjali), daughter Shikha of Atlanta (Jeff), and son Nalin (Shre, children Nina, Devin, and Cameron). Our Amma loved her family and her community and will live on through the many connections she made. Viewing will be at noon and services will begin at 1 PM EST on Tuesday 10/31/17 at Lord and Stephens East in Athens, GA.
