Mr. Lamar Ransom, age 83, a long time resident of Jonesboro passed away, Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Piedmont Henry Hospital. He passed away peacefully and quickly. He was preceded in death by his wife; Frances Corine Ransom and most recently by his oldest son; Randy Lamar Ransom. He is survived by his son; Ray Ransom of Decatur. A garden service will take place at St. Johns Episcopal Church at a later date.
