Mrs. Laura Upton Towe, age 72, of Hampton, passed away, January 26, 2013. She was born, November 24, 1940 in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents; Wesley Grady Upton and Dolly Thompson Upton, husband; Lloyd L. Towe, Sr., sons; Charles Thomas Towe, William Keith Towe, brothers; Larry Upton and Michael Upton. She is survived by her children; Sherri (Randy) Collier of McDonough, Janet (Clyde) Knowles of Rome, Darlene King of Rome, Lloyd "Lonnie" Towe, Jr. of Hampton, Jimmy Towe, Lloyd Towe, Gerald Towe, all of Rome, Calvin (Marie) Towe of Silver Creek, brothers; Bobby (June) Upton of Greenville, Tony Upton of LaGrange, 25 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 24 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 1 PM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Chuck Scott will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
