Mr. LaVern Morris, age 89, of Stockbridge, peacefully passed away September 6, 2021. Mr. Morris was a member of Fairview Church of Christ and he retired from General Motors. He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Betty Sue Morris and grandson: Major James Sanders. He is survived by his children: Terry (Lea) Sanders of Stockbridge, Dee (Bill) Tanner of McDonough, and Tracy (Robby) Price of McDonough; brother: Walter Morris of AL; sisters: Minnie Jo Norberg and Nell Horton both of Jesup; grandchildren: Brittany Henderson, Malvin (Jan) Sanders, McKensie (Kyle) Boggards, Trey (McKenzie) Price, Olivia Kate Tanner; great grandchildren: Owen Major Sanders, William Allen Price, Park Ryan Henderson, Kennedy Grace Price, Blakely Suzanne Sanders. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, September 10, 2021 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Minister Malvin Sanders will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday September 10, 2021 from 11 AM till service time. Interment will be at Randolph Memory Gardens in Roanoke, Alabama at 12 PM CST on Monday, September 13, 2021.
