Mr. Lawrence Richard Piner, Sr., age 82, of Griffin, passed away on January 15, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine. He retired from General Motors. He is survived by his children, Lawrence "Larry" Richard (Mary) Piner, Jr. of Epworth, John Michael (Angie) Piner of Douglasville, Vickie Lynn Fair of Locust Grove, Gary Wayne (Carol) Piner of Locust Grove; companion, Erika Yoast of McDonough and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon till 2 PM. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park.
