Mr. Leon Cornelius, age 87 of Morrow passed away peacefully May 31, 2022. He was a retired Engineer with Delta Air Lines. He is preceded in death by his parents: William L. and Flora Cornelius, wife: Annette C. Cornelius, sons: Ronald Eugene Cornelius and Randall Wayne Cornelius, siblings: Thelma Blackwell, Finis Cornelius, Walter Cornelius, Martha Thomas and Betty Williamson. He is survived by his children: Richard Leon (Mary) Cornelius of Jasper, Raymond Neal (Sabrina) Cornelius of College Park and Robin (Kerry) Doyal of PA, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. C.S.T. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Chapel of Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901, phone: 256-543-2140 with Rev. Kerry Doyal officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cornelius Family Cemetery in Walnut Grove, AL. The family will also receive friends 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, 2047 Hwy 138 E. Jonesboro, GA 30236.
