Mr. LeRoy "Sonny" Williams age 86, of Jonesboro passed away March 30, 2022. Mr. Williams served 4 years in the US Air Force. He retired from Delta Airlines after 25 years as a Flight Training Instructor.  In 1972 he opened Parkway Auto Parts where he had multiple locations in the Atlanta area for over 20 years. He was the Chairman of the Board of Peach State Bank and was the Director of Eagles Landing National Bank. He was an investor and entrepreneur till his passing. He was the cofounder of the Bradford Williams Center for adults and children with disabilities. He loved to play golf and played with the Lake Spivey Senior Golf Club. He was also very involved in his grandchildren's activities, and was a long time member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years: Shirley Williams; sons: Kevin (Becky) Williams, Kerry (Gena) Williams; daughters: Linda (Scott) Brown all of Jonesboro, and Cindy (Lance) Cunningham of Eatonton; sisters: Mary Hall of Wedowee, AL and Kathy Peeler of Charleston, SC; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Funeral services will be held at 12: 00 Noon, Saturday, April 2, 2022 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Dr. Charles Q. Carter and Rev. Allen Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Friday, April 1st, 2022 at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home.
