Mr. Lester J. Jump, age 86 of McDonough passed away April 1, 2018. Mr. Jump retired from the U. S. Army with over 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Jump and son: Lester Jump, Jr. Surviving are his children: Chester Daniel Jump of Morrow, Mary Jump of Morrow, Robert Jump of McDonough, Virginia Leftwich and husband Tim of Ola and Jeremy Jump and wife Joelle of Woodstock, grandchildren: Jason Babb, Joshua Whitt, Andrea Sevanick, Caroline Jump and Jeremiah Jump, great-grandchildren: Kellett Babb and Lily Babb. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the funeral home.
