Linda Dianne Anderson-Cooper, née Carder, passed away on Saturday, January 16th at 10:18 PM at Piedmont Henry Hospital after complications arising from a heart procedure. A life-long Georgia peach, she was born on December 27, 1947 at Crawford Long Hospital.
Linda is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Cooper of Jonesboro, her son, Kevin Anderson and daughter in law, Elizabeth Anderson of Marietta, daughter, Andrea Arias and son in law, Chris Arias of Cumming as well as her brothers, Ed Carder of Riverdale and David Carder of Elizabethton, Tennessee. She is also survived by her step-children, Johnny and Marché Cooper of Jonesboro, step-grandchildren Nolan and Heather Suttles of Jackson, Brian Suttles and Marlena "Sissy" Willis of McDonough, as well as her grandchildren, Grayson Arias and his wife, Lindsay, of Atlanta, Gibson "Gigi" Arias of Cumming, Margaret Arias of Los Angeles and Calley, Parker and Mason Anderson of Marietta and step-great-grandchildren, Allie and Katie Suttles of Jackson and Charley, Riley and Bradley Willis of McDonough. Linda is also survived by a large extended family of brothers and sisters in law as well as many nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Capus and Minnie Grace Carder, brother, Capus Neicus Carder, sisters, Betty Grace Crawford and Kitty Ragsdale, as well as her husband, William A. Anderson, Jr.
The name Linda means beautiful in Spanish and she wore her name well. She was a true beauty inside and out and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A loving wife mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she always knew how to make every person she was with feel loved and every occasion or holiday celebrated so special. If loving God and loving people are the marks of a life well lived, Linda graduated at the top of her class.
At a young age, Linda trusted Christ as her savior and has been a devoted follower of Jesus for most of her life. So while we mourn, we do not mourn as those who have no hope. We look forward by faith to a promised reunion. It's that faith that allows the sweetness of life to overpower the bitterness of death and lets us experience genuine joy in the midst of our momentary loss.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Lanson Newsom and Allen Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the funeral home and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
