Mrs. Linda Barge Ford, age 70 of Sharpsburg passed away January 26, 2018. Linda, along with her husband Horace opened Ford-Stewart Funeral Home in Jonesboro on August 25, 1997, and worked side by side serving families together until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents: James H. and Virginia Barge, her sister: Norma J. Stewart and brother: James O. Barge. Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years: Horace W. Ford, son, Darren W. Ford of McDonough, daughter: Jennifer D. Ford of Sharpsburg, granddaughter: Kaytlyn E. Ford of Sharpsburg, sisters: Beverly Rodgers of Palmetto, Katie Bonner and husband Roger of Fayetteville, Dianne Davis and husband Lucius of Sharpsburg and Shelia Black of Newnan and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle with Dr. Joe Arthur, Rev. Floyd Carmack, Rev. Irvin Pearre and Bishop David Earl Vinson officiating. She will be placed in state at 12:30 p.m.. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn. The family will receive friends 3 p.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the funeral home.
