Mrs. Linda Nash, a beloved member of the Jonesboro community, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the age of 74. Linda dedicated her career to serving in the Clayton County School System until her well-deserved retirement.
Linda was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Sanford "Bud" Nash Sr., her parents, Lewis and Dora McBurnett, her son, Bud "Bubba" Nash Jr., and her siblings, Dennis McBurnett and Cynthia Hope. While she may have bid farewell to her loved ones, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Missy (Clint) Ives of Jonesboro, her cherished granddaughter, Annah Nash, her sisters, Shirley (Claude) Parlier of Peachtree City and Barbara "BJ" McBurnett of Jonesboro, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, 2047 Highway 138 S.E., Jonesboro, GA 30237. Following the visitation, a funeral service officiated by Pastor Wade Hall will commence at 2:00 PM in the Ford-Stewart Funeral Home Chapel. Linda will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 5714 Old National Hwy, College Park, GA 30349, following the service.
Linda Nash will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, generosity, and compassion will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
