Lloyd "Pete" W. Palmer, age 79, of Riverdale, passed away on November 24, 2025. He was born on February 22, 1946. He grew up in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Palmer served 8 years in the United States Air Force. He was the youngest of 9 children. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Hammond Palmer; parents, Robert and Eva Palmer; grandson, Dalton McCollough and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughter, LeAnn (Chris) McCollough, grandchildren, Emily McClure, Joshua McClure, Timothy (Morgan) McClure, Annalee (Tommy) Serrano; great grandchild, Reagan McClure; son, Michael O'Dell and his children, Jessica, Skylar, Christian, Alicia, Jake and Kimberly; brother, Richard Palmer; step daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Martin; step grandchildren, Melissa and Joseph; nieces, nephews and extended family. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Jonesboro Ward. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Berea Cemetery in Hampton.
