Mrs. Louise Allen Blalock, age 101, of Jonesboro, passed away, April 30, 2014.  Mrs. Blalock was the oldest member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.  She joined the church in 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Eugene Blalock, Sr.; grandson, Gabe Gaddis; siblings, Samuel Edgar Allen, Lorah Mae Allen Piper, Thomas Elvin Allen, Mattie Ruth Allen Tillman and Alma Lonie Allen Burks Shelton.  She is survived by her children, Samuel E. (Dianne) Blalock, Jr., of McDonough, Emily (Marshall) Gaddis of Darien, Elizabeth Ann Sligh of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Gena, Lee, Lisa, Robin; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2014.  Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate.  Interment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12:30-1:30 PM at the funeral home.
