Mr. Luther G. Lowrey, age 83, of McDonough, passed away, March 4, 2013. He attended First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He retired from AT&T and was a member of the Forest Park Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife; Valera, daughter and son in law; Marie (Glenn) Armstrong of McDonough, brother; Dewitt Lowrey of Alabama, sister and brother in law; Nanella (Charles) Marsh of Alabama, grandchildren; Matthew Armstrong and Mallory Armstrong. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 2 PM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Irvin Pearre and Rev. Hinton Harris will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
